Ë¿¹ÏAV creates business certificates for future leaders
Nov 20, 2020
To prepare students for the rapidly-changing world of business, Our Lady of the Lake University (Ë¿¹ÏAV) has created four certificate programs that equip tomorrow’s leaders with the cutting-edge skills of today.
In response to a request from a major medical research center, Ë¿¹ÏAV designed the “Business Essentials for Health Care Professionals â€ certificate for future executives.
Recognizing a shortage in the field of analytics, Ë¿¹ÏAV created the “Business Analytics and Intelligent Decision Making â€ certificate, a program that shows students how to collect and use data.
Ë¿¹ÏAV also has created the “Essential Business Skills â€ certificate and the “Financial Analysis and Corporate Performance â€ certificate.
“Students with these certificates can land jobs in a variety of fields, said Gultekin Gollu, PhD, assistant professor of Economics. “The skills they learn will help them make good business decisions.
All the new graduate-level certificates are offered online and scholarship opportunities are available. The certificates were designed to meet the needs of working professionals who may not be ready to earn a master’s degree. Students who complete the certificates and later decide to pursue a master’s degree will be able to apply the credits from the certificate to a master’s degree.
